In this piece , electronically produced sounds and processed noises , that would normally be heard over stage-loudspeakers , come out of the bell of the turbotuba itself .
A small but powerful loudspeaker is placed into the opening of the 6th valve tube of the instrument, enabling the tubist to choose between his own playing and the electronic sound waves or a mixture of both by use of the valve.

Saturday evening ’s performance was dedicated to the great Russian composer Tchaikovsky, with a careful selection of his many symphonies, piano concertos, orchestral works, operas and ballets.
High praise was won from press and public alike for the evening ’s ambitious programme , with its excellent ensemble of choir , dancers and orchestra , alongside a spectacular staging of the last movement of the famous 1812 Overture - complete with canon-fire and bell-ringing .
